The Toyota Highlander Drive Around

Author: Mark Clarkson

Flexibility. Power. Space. That is what the Toyota Highlander has in store for its owners and users. Coming as a standard feature for this vehicle is a V6 engine that is large and holds much more power compared to its other siblings as well as other vehicles out in the market. Along with it comes a five speed automatic transmission. These features provide a soft yet quality ride that is quite unmatched in its segment. The engines are very smooth and quiet as well. The Toyota Highlander also comes with an automatic transmission.

The Toyota Highlander has definitely a very flight resemblance to the Lexus RX 330. This vehicle also has kept safety in mind for it provides a very impressive collection of passive safety features. This includes the three point seatbelts and headrests for all seats. The front seats have been specially designed and crafted so as to assist in reducing the possibility of whiplash-type injuries.

The interior of this vehicle could hold both people and cargo as well. It has a spacious cabin that could take in a maximum of five passengers, however there are extra seats at its rear so as to be able to add two more. If the rear seats are folded down flat, it would then reveal a very spacious cargo area which is greater than the Toyota 4Runner. The Toyota Highlander has been made available in two trim levels which comprise of the base trim and the Limited trim.

The base trim level rolls up with a four cylinder engine as well as a front wheel drive. It features air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, a cruise control, cloth upholstery, sophisticated anti-lock brakes, a passenger capacity of five people, and the electronic stability control system. The Limited trim level, on the other hand, finds its way to the streets holding a V6 engine as well as third-row seats. It boasts of its automatic climate control, a JBL sound system with eight speakers, an eight-way power driver's seat with adjustable lumbar support, a four-way power passenger seat, 17 inch aluminum wheels, a roof rack, fog lights, a rear privacy glass, heated mirrors, a remote keyless entry system that has a security system and engine immobilizer with it, a wood-grain interior trim, a steering wheel wrapped in leather as well as a shift knob in leather.

The options given for both trim levels of the Toyota Highlander include a tilt and slide glass sunroof, an in-dash six CD changer, a rear seat DVD system, two wireless headphones, RCA input jacks for video games, side-curtain airbags, seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and a household style 115 volt AC power outlet.
