Future Presidential Candidate Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has submitted a plan for the Middle Class and revival of the American Dream. What dream you ask? Well her plan addresses the dream and promise we were told about growing up and that all Americans want to see come to fruition. Opponents will most likely say, this American Dream Initiative is simply a copy of previous political Republican Plans and strategies such as the famous; Contract for America in the middle 1990s. Hillary wishes to not give out free biscuits but make the Middle Class Affordable for those who take responsibility for their actions. When Hillary talks about The Middle Class she discusses the basics of life in the middle class such as education, retirement, affordable housing, healthcare, home ownership and a fair wage for an honest days work. It is interesting in that the Free Market has and can continue to produce this if it is not over burdened with over regulation, barriers to entry and onerous small business rules. The question is where is the Plan, when can we see it and how does it plan to address the causes of the issues without raising taxes, further hurting the business community or putting the country in isolation thru protectionism regulations? This plan needs to be a free-market approach, something the Democrats have yet to introduce? Will Hillary be putting her name on something, which will work or something that her party demands in order to support her? Consider all this in 2006. |
