Finding The Right Shoes For Your Children

Author: Jon Kilminster
No matter how old your children are, you want them to have the coolest shoes. The problem with this is that the shoes that are in style at the moment can cost you more than you really want to spend. So, how do you find those cool shoes they want without breaking your budget? Here are a few ideas to help you out:

1.Shop aroundWhile this seems only logical, most people don't do it. Shop around at several different stores and compare prices on the shoes that your kids are asking for. Then, shop around online as well. Chances are that you can find these great designer shoes that your kids want at a much lower price online.

2.Don't buy the most expensive pair out there, just for the name. If you're children are younger, they really won't know the difference in which shoes have which designer name. You can usually find other brands that look identical with a much cheaper price tag!

3.Give them a choice. Take your kids with you to the store while you're shopping around. Have them show you several different styles that they like. This will give you a greater choice while you're shopping around at the stores and online so you aren't tied down to one specific style.

4.Discount stores aren't all bad! You can find some great deals on those cool shoes at discount stores. While most of these shoes aren't the designer names, they look just the same and no one will ever know the difference unless you tell them.

Basically, remember that you don't have to buy the most expensive pair of shoes out there just because they are 'cool' at the time. Most kids will grow out of their shoes fairly quickly, so spending a lot of money just isn't feasible. So, after you see those price tags on the designer shoes, take a deep breath and start shopping around for look-alikes!
