Candles And Wind Chimes for Sight, Sound and Smell

Author: Sheila Muller-bouchard

Have you ever had the pleasure of Candles in your home or Wind chimes about the home? Candles can bring you so much pleasure as you watch the flame flicker or enjoy the wonderful aroma of your favorite scent.

Candles have been used for many things in life. They have been used for the simple use of light, especially when the electricity is out. Theyre use for the romantic evening is legendary. For the luxurious bath, along with music and a glass of wine. A candlelight dinner makes the culinary delights that much better. They are even used to remove the wax in your ears! They are known to shoo away bugs when your enjoying your evening on the patio. When you have a party and there are smokers in the home, a few lit candles will eat up the smoke in your home. Of course, lets not forget the yearly celebrations of birthdays, one candle will light the rest.

There are many uses for the wax on a candle. I use mine to make the sliding doors work better, just rub in the runners. Use on screws that are exposed to the outdoors if you are removing them regularly. Great for saws. Rub them on wooden drawers so they glide smoothly. As you can see they are quite versatile.

If you sit and hone in on the flame after a very rough day it will calm the very heart. I keep several candles on my coffee table and when I am feeling upset or nervous I will just sit and watch the flames flicker and my day has melted away in a very short time. I love watching the blue and gold dancing. My personal aromas are vanilla, cinnamon and the slight scent of the sea. They are very calming.

Of course, if you add the pleasant tinkle of wind chimes it adds to the enjoyment. There are many different types of chimes to choose from. You can have the delicate sound of small metal pipes blowing in the wind of the solid yet deep sound of the very tall wooden ones. Sort of a calling from the woods. I have glass wind chimes about the house and enjoyment them immensely. I also have a sound activated one in the home where the wind cannot touch them. Whatever your pleasure there are so many to choose from.

As with anything you must be careful in using candles. Always be sure they are contained either on a glass or metal plate or in a holder that will not tip. Always keep away from any kind of fabric that will ignite. Never leave the house without extinguishing the flame! If you have a tendency to forget leave a note on the door when you light one.

I wish you all the time and pleasure of candles and wind chimes in your very hurried life.
