Some guys just seem to be naturally gifted in the art of attracting and seducing women. They get fantastic results almost every time they interact with women. The difference between a guy like me (who had to spend time LEARNING "seduction" techniques) and the "natural" guys is this: the natural guys apply certain rules and principles of seduction to women, SUBCONSCIOUSLY. In other words, they don't really know WHY they do what they dothey just know it works for them when they do it.

The problem with talking to these guys is that they are useless at helping you become as good as they are in attracting women. For instance if you met a guy who was a natural pick up artist and asked him what the principles are or what rules he follows to pick up women, he will likely say to you that he doesn't have rules per se or that he just somehow has the confidence to approach women and chat them up or that his personality is outgoing and that the women just love it. The bottom line is that you will come away from the conversation none the wiser and most likely it wouldn't help you to improve your own game or level of skill.

He might even offer to take you clubbing with him or going to meet women so you can chat them up together and you can watch him work. You may even have a friend like this who you've watched in the past, interacting with women. So how come you found it difficult to copy what he does and get the same degree of success yourself.

Another problem with either being a natural or learning from a natural is that you can't easily fix a problem if something goes wrong in the sequence of events. I liken it to a skilled pilot flying an airplane as opposed to someone who is not only a pilot but also a fully trained and qualified airplane engineer. I have seen quite a few natural pick up artists encounter problems in the middle of a pick up routine and not known what they were doing wrong. When that happens to them, they just tend to shrug their shoulders, have no idea what went wrong, don't bother to find out and fix it and they just walk away and move on.

Sometimes, it is actually good to have that attitude to a certain extent, but it should not be due to a lack of understanding about what you are doing and the factors that are affecting your interaction. I call this the "sitting duck" approach to pick up. You just let things happen with absolutely no control over where the interaction is heading. You really don't want to be in that position and a good understanding of the step by step science will ensure that you minimise the occurrence of "sitting duck" moments in your interactions with women.

This is why you should be wary of trying to learn from these "naturals" who can't explain their techniques to you clearly, step-by-step. You want to actually learn the principles for yourself so that you will be just like the plane engineer who is capable of checking out and fixing any potential problems with a plane engine if he spots any unusual signals from the engine while flying before they become really big and possibly fatal problems. So approach the "pick up" game as a SCIENCE and commit to learning the rules for yourself.
